List Hygiene

One of the essential functions of the data management process is list hygiene. L@KE interactive is able to provide the e-mail address standardization and de-duping which will improve the deliverability of each e-mail deployment. Some examples of list hygiene are as follows:

  • johndoe@aol = = > johndoe@aol.com
  • johndoe@aol,com = = > johndoe@aol.com
  • 1234,123@compuserve@com = = > 1234.123@compuserve.com
  • JohnDoe@hotmail.com = = > JohnDoe@hotmail.com

The data management process includes merge/purge, suppression, and automatic de-duplication feature that ensures no email address will receive the same email message twice, even if there is duplication in your database.

Bounce-backs that occur during a mailing will be delivered four times. If they are still undeliverable, these names will be flagged as well and suppressed from future campaigns. Several attempts to deliver a bounce-backed name should be made before flagging the name as undeliverable (you can control exactly how many times an address should be mailed to, before it is flagged).

All undeliverable e-mail addresses from your house file, as well as any change of address requests can be provided.

Any incoming e-mails from a campaign will be scanned for auto-responders, out-of-office replies, unsubscribe requests or opt-outs, and a suppression file can be built and maintained, if requested, for use during the merge/purge process. Customer service questions will be forwarded to the appropriate person within 24 hours of receipt of email.
